2021 TOR Chardonnay
HS, Napa Valley Sold out
A wine that is truly a sum of all its parts. Our HS Chardonnay is a blend of our best barrels from hallowed ground in Carneros. “Balance” perfectly describes the texture, acidity and length of our smallest production white wine. Notes of citrus blossom, brioche and hazelnut assault the senses. The minerality of wet river stones and flint compliments the fruit like the sun compliments the moon. We hope you love it as much as we do.
This may be one of the most stunning renditions of Cuvée Susan we have made. It is classically Burgundian, with a nose of honeysuckle, tangerine peel, crushed rock and gunflint. The palate is seamless, with creamy peaches, citrus oil and racy acidity that demands a long finish. An old-world chardonnay from the new world with precision, focus, and unparalleled purity.

Our 2021 Beresini Vineyard Chardonnay is a true textural experience. On the nose, beautiful notes of jasmine, white peach and chamomile tea abound. The palate is rich and round, with crème brulee, almond, and a long, silky finish. There’s a certain tension to the 2021 Chardonnays that leaves us with the impression that these may be some of the finest we’ve produced.

This wine exemplifies why Oakville is the premiere appellation for Cabernet in the Napa Valley. It checks all the boxes, with a savory, umami element, a touch of mushroom and a hint of eucalyptus. The fruit is plentiful, with blackberry, chocolate covered cherry, blueberry pie and a graphite minerality. Baking spices of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg add an extra touch of complexity. A true champion of this vintage.

Our 2021 Vine Hill Ranch leads with beautiful balance, grace, and length. It is almost equal parts red fruit, blue fruit, and black fruits, displaying one of the greatest Cabernet vineyards in the world. This vintage again shows the amazing mid palate and what the slightly ‘cooler’ side of South Oakville can produce. Its rounded texture and balance continue to resonate through the long silky finish.

Our 2021 Melanson has an additional level of richness and a slightly higher level of black fruits over the typical red fruit spectrum that Pritchard Hill typically provides. An amazingly rich and seamless mid to back palate that shows off its mountain terroir. This will be the longest-lived Melanson we have ever made, an homage to the majesty of Pritchard Hill. Deep, dark, and opulent.

Our 2021 Dr. Crane shows the incredibly distinct profile that this vineyard provides. Aromatics open with wet river stone minerality (think Pessac in Bordeaux mixed with Napa) showing off its old world meets new world nature. The palate is silky yet powerful providing unmatched complexity with each sip. With tons of spice, earth, cloves, wild berries, and dark stone fruit, this wine leaves our senses yearning for more.

Our 2021 shows its classic profile – dark fruited, with notes of blackberry, currants, black cherries, dark chocolate, and espresso. This vintage reminds us of the best qualities from the 2019 and 2018 vintages: the structure and complexity of 2018, yet the aromatic lift, generosity, and approachability of 2019. Comparable to an offensive lineman who is powerful but smooth and graceful on his feet. While very approachable in its youth, we know it will continue to age extremely well.

The 2019 Tierra Roja immediately shows the more classic red fruit profile that you expect from the intense/iron rich soils. This shows a very floral side to the aromatics with roses/rosemary/lavender and sage. The palate is firm but with sweet tannins and a bit of wet earth, cloves and cinnamon stick.

This wine is sporting a very dark black ruby color with game meats, super sweet blackberry liquor and spice. On the palate there is an intensely dense/rich attack with a seamless and silky mid palate. This is a largely black fruit/profile wine with more blackberry, road tar, cloves and black licorice.
The 2018 petite Sirah immediately shows loads of creosote, dark dark black cherries and black raspberry reduction. The palate shows the slightly lifted acidity and structure typical of the 2018 vintage and an amazingly long finish.
