TOR WINES, ST. HELENA, CALIFORNIA
TOR KENWARD, PROPRIETOR

TOR Wines is a critically acclaimed small, family-owned winery specializing in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay. Tor Kenward, a legendary Napa Valley vintner for over four decades, is a champion of single-vineyard wines.

CHEF DUFFY WITMER
THE PIONEER SALOON, KETCHUM, IDAHO

The Pioneer Saloon, renowned for perfectly aged, tender and flavorful beef, is typical of an earlier Idaho where ore wagons rattled down Main Street and business was done with a handshake and a drink. The iconic restaurant serves authentic Idaho cuisine—fresh vegetables, prime cuts of meat and of course, potatoes.

About the Dinner

Get ready for a truly unique Idaho experience at this special Vintner Dinner. Hop aboard the shuttle that will whisk you away to Jan and Michael Quinn’s charming waterfront cabin at Pettit Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains, where you will experience a spectacular evening of food, wine and friendship in one of the most gorgeous settings on the planet. Longtime Ketchum restaurateur Duffy Witmer will be concocting an Idaho-inspired menu while you enjoy a cocktail cruise around the lake on pontoon boats, hired especially for the occasion, as the sun sinks behind the mountains. Then dine lakeside under the stars while Tor Kenward from TOR Wines regales the crowd with stories about his early days in Napa with Julia Child, Robert Mondavi and friends. (See TOR Wines website for some of these stories.)

Robert Parker, “Tor Kenward has put together an impressive portfolio of wines. His stuff is exciting, which is not that all surprising given his rich wine-tasting experience of multiple decades.” Duffy’s creativity with the freshest local ingredients will only be matched by the sell-out wines Tor will have for you to sample, including the celebrated Beckstoffer To Kalon. To Kalon is probably the most famous, well-known vineyard in Napa, first planted in 1868. Some of the most venerated dirt in the world, Beckstoffer To Kalon comes with a pedigree of game-changing California Cabernet Sauvignon. The stars are aligning for this magical evening, and we think you’ll agree!
