I was born and raised in Mendoza, Argentina, "The land of the sun and good wine."

That alone should have set me up to become a winemaker. The cultural engagement of its inhabitants during harvest time and the acknowledgment of the hard work of its participants is just wonderful.

My passion for wine began at a young age. At 20 years old, after having completed two harvests at Bodega Alta Vista, one of Mendoza’s most renowned wineries, I decided to embark on a journey of global travel, making wine in the finest wine regions of the world, with one goal in mind: to work with the best producers.

That drive, combined with my insatiable thirst to learn more (by the way, you can never know enough about wine), took me to incredible places. It was a focused plan; it was a fun plan. There was a lot of hard work and purple hands all year long—Pinot Noir in Russian River, Syrah in McLaren Vale, Australia; Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa, Cabernet Franc and Merlot in Bordeaux, Carmenere in Colchagua Valley, Chile, and Malbec in Mendoza. I soon realized I was crafting very special wines in the best locations and terroirs in the world.

Eventually, that plan came to an end when I met my wife, who luckily lived near Napa Valley. Now, I had another reason to return to this corner of the globe, so I did, and I settled here.

One thing is worth mentioning after having lived in all those areas: I’m in love with Napa Valley. It is the perfect place for crafting world-class grape juice.

I have worked with some of the best winemakers locally and internationally, and now I have the opportunity to apply all that knowledge in making Tor wines, an exceptional testament to Napa’s full potential. I couldn’t be happier with how my past has led me to where I am today, and I’m very thankful for that.
