Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard
Oakville

First planted in 1884 and farmed by three generations of the Phillips family, Vine Hill Ranch is an Oakville benchmark—deeply woven into TOR’s own 50-year history in Napa Valley.

Some vineyards you source fruit from; others feel like part of your story. For TOR, Vine Hill Ranch is legacy and benchmark. Since the Phillips family purchased the site in 1959, they have elevated this historic Oakville vineyard into one of Napa Valley’s most sought-after. Today, under the care of Bruce Phillips, it continues to yield wines of depth, complexity, and endurance.

TOR farms select parcels here, including an acre of old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon in the rocky soils of Block 7 and a prized section of Block 3D beneath Bond’s Vecina vineyard, where Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot are often co-fermented. In some years, even Black Magic has found its shape in this vineyard.
