Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard BFD
Oakville
Majestic in scale and singular in history, To Kalon is Napa Valley’s most storied vineyard—renowned for producing more 100-point wines than any other site in the region.
The name To Kalon comes from classical Greek, meaning “ideal beauty,” and few vineyards embody that phrase more completely. Set along a gentle slope in Oakville’s western foothills, To Kalon’s Bale loam soils and ancient stream beds give the fruit its hallmark depth, structure, and quiet power.
Under the stewardship of Andy Beckstoffer, one of Napa’s most influential growers, the vineyard has become synonymous with excellence, producing more 100-point wines than any other site in Napa Valley. For over a decade, TOR has worked with eleven blocks across To Kalon, carefully chosen over twenty years of farming here. Each vintage tells its own story, whether expressed through a single block or blended into a cuvée, with some years yielding special bottlings like the mid-block BFD. Farming here is both a privilege and a humbling reminder of the vineyard’s enduring legacy.
